.....these children are sooo presious!!!!

...men, women and children can come to class to learn how to read, write and do math....it~s amazing to see the hunger of these people to learn and how their eyes shine when they have learnt to write a new letter!!!

....they teach the women to make nice flip-flops and to sell it on the market....

.....Lynne and Bete opened a saloon for the women who learned how to cut hair.....so now thouse women have a job .....awesome!

....bringing professional hair dressers in to teach the women how to cut hair....

.....we teach the people about hygiene and how important it is to keep the body clear....washing peoples feet with soap.....most of them have skin problems from working on the dump!

......the women here learn how to sow and do crafty things, to help them take care of themselves and not to be dependent on others....

......I will just randomly put a few pictures on this website....they will not be in order...sorry....as soon as I have more time, I will try to sort it out a bit better....

This is the ^dump^ on whicj most people of this community live from....there daily working place.....Lynne has bought them boots, so that there feet are protected...some time the people use them and sometimes they sell them....many people that work here get sick a lot....many skin desises.....

Dear friends,

no I have not forgot about you guys at all! I~m sorry that I have not written much, but I do not have that much access to the internet since I have left Salvador! I need to drive into the city to be able to get to a computer! I do miss being in touch and I hope that you can understand! I will just put a few pictures on this site every now and then, so if you like you can check it out!
